I am Xingrun Lu, a senior majoring in Educational Studies and Art, with a minor in Digital Studies and a teaching credential in Art.
I excel in leadership, problem-solving, and possess a strong sense of responsibility, passion, and creativity.
As a freelance digital illustrator and mixed-media artist with extensive experience, I excel across multiple media. Having worked freelance for five years, I've served over 100 clients, collaborating harmoniously with many—some repeatedly.
In my free time, my personal work explores diverse social issues, leveraging my knowledge to empower others. My goal is to amplify voices through my artistic expertise while deepening my research in beloved fields and collaborating with artists and visionaries across disciplines to contribute to a better society.
Planet in Human Shape
Although the development of human society requires more labor, it cannot be ignored that there is a limit to the carrying capacity of the earth. How should mankind look at the relationship between the environment and man? On a distant planet, we will see our possible future.
The Breathing Pain
Based on the fact that society (including women themselves) has long ignored the issue of menstrual cramps, we hope to use this project to create a wearable device using visualization technology. Through the combination of reality and fiction, we visualize the silent pain that women experience and make their pain visible. Through this, we hope to realize the symbiosis of people, technology, and pain.
Art Menu
This project integrates art and cuisine across four distinct sections, each exploring one of the world's major cultural systems: China, India, Greece, and Islam.
TheArtMenu aims to convey multicultural concepts through innovative fusion of food and art, breaking down cultural barriers via social media and offline experiences. Expanding this into an asynchronous interactive project, we combine physical recipe books with website engagement. Using visually striking content and interactive challenges, we attract participants and encourage them to transcend stereotypes and appreciate diverse cultures.
